The MLY-F team arrived Kwambla on the 23rd of January at 11:30am and proceeded to the venue of the orientation exercise at Government Day Secondary School Kwambla. The team met the principal of the school and a few of the staff to formally discuss the intentions of the foundation and acquaint them with the vision and mission of Mariam Ladi Yunusa Foundation. He commended the foundation for coming up with such a laudable program that will benefit the less privileged and the girl-child. After all formalities, the principal consented to the program and gave the team members permission to proceed with the selection of girls for the orientation exercise and ultimately the Ambassadorship cycle 3.
Government Day Secondary School presented thirteen (13) orphan girls for the selection exercise. The MLY officials adopted the selection criteria of the foundation during the process. The girls were called one after the other to ascertain their eligibility and by the end of the exercise, ten (10) girls were selected for the orientation exercise. Furthermore, two women were interviewed for the vacant post of the community matron in Kwambla, Hong local government area. After a rigorous interview, Mrs. Bless Yohanna emerged as the most eligible candidate for the position and immediately commenced duty at the orientation exercise. Two principals also assisted with both selection processes to ensure that no stone was left unturned.
