At approximately 8:40 am, the MLY Foundation team, accompanied by seven of our dedicated ambassadors, arrived at the village head’s palace in Bazza. This day marked the beginning of a new chapter in our ongoing mission to make a positive impact on the community. In the following lines, we’ll take you through our activities and the heartwarming response we received from the locals.
The Team Behind the Initiative
Leading the charge were Blessing Abbas, the community matron, and Emmanuel Ijai, the community officer. Alongside them were our enthusiastic ambassadors, seven young individuals ready to roll up their sleeves and make a difference in their community.
A Day of Purpose
With the clock striking 9:00 am, the program officially commenced. We kicked off the day with words of encouragement, emphasizing the significance of community self-help. Our belief is that when individuals come together for a common cause, they can create lasting change.
Our first task for the day was to tackle the overgrown grass that surrounded the village head’s palace. Armed with nothing but our hands and determination, we got to work. Slowly but steadily, we weeded the grass, reclaiming the area from nature’s encroachment.
After successfully removing the overgrowth, we turned our attention to sweeping the environment with brooms. The combined efforts of our team transformed the once neglected surroundings into a clean and hygienic space.
