Board Memebers

Dr. Salamatu Mambula (Board Chair)

Dr. Machunga-Mambula is an Associate Professor of Medical Microbiology and the Pioneer Head of Department of Microbiology at Faculty of Science, University of Abuja. She has an extensive educational background, receiving her undergraduate degree in Microbiology from The Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, a Masters degree in Medical Microbiology from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and a Ph.D. degree in Medical Microbiology from Manchester University, UK. Dr. M-Mambula has attended numerous professional development programs at Harvard University and won the Africa Centre of Excellence and Food Safety award. She is currently a Consultant to an environment company in Nigeria and a Technical Consultant to an American company in Georgia.

DR. Anna Madziga

Dr. Anna Madziga has spent over 20 years advocating for girls’ education, women’s empowerment, gender mainstreaming, conflict management, and peacebuilding in various parts of Nigeria. She has held several positions, including Project Director for the Nigeria Women Empowerment Network, UNICEF’s Safe Schools Initiative Consultant for Adamawa, Deputy Chief of Party at USAID’s Addressing Education in North East Nigeria activity, and consultant for several donors. Dr. Madziga is a member of the Nigerian Girls Education Initiative and Nigeria Gender Budget Network. She is married to Tpl. Barka Madziga, and they have five children.

Halima Buba (MD/CEO Suntrust Bank Nigeria Limited)

Halima is an experienced banker with over 22 years in the banking industry. She is currently the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of SunTrust Bank Nigeria Limited and a co-founder and former Executive Director of Taj Consortium. Halima holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and an MBA from the University of Maiduguri, is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School Senior Management Program, and a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants. Halima is passionate about youth and women empowerment and is a philanthropist for girl child education.

Hyaliwa D. Goje

Hyaliwa D. Goje is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for helping small businesses by teaching financial literacy and planning. He is the Managing Director/CEO of Floreat Group of companies and a former Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. Hyaliwa attended Kings College, Lagos, and holds a Bachelors Degree in Geography from Ahmadu Bello University, as well as a Masters Degree in Environment, Science and Society from the University of Essex. He also has several certificates from Harvard Kennedy School, UNESCO-IHE, and AAT. Hyaliwa founded The Floreat Empowerment Foundation, which aims to help widows and orphans in Northern Nigeria, and supports HOPE Worldwide.

Sadiq Suleiman Abdullahi

Sadiq is a development manager with 17 years of experience in the public and private sectors. He specializes in strategic planning, project management, investment/transaction advisory, relationship management, value chain analysis/management and human capital development. Sadiq has held various positions at the national and sub-national levels, including Director General, Special Adviser to an Executive Governor and Federal Minister. He is also a member of several advisory and implementation committees. Sadiq holds an OND, a B.Sc and an MBA from various universities, and is currently a Doctoral Student at the Teesside Business School. He has also attended Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Dale Carnegie of Georgia, Public Service Institute Nigeria, and Royal Institute of International Affairs, London UK.

Adegbe Ogbeh

Adegbe Ogbeh is an entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in different business ventures, including telecoms services, mobile applications, fitness, aviation, and hospitality. He has international business and marketing qualifications, and is the founder and co-founder of several companies such as Lounge One, Ryde Fitness, Roombox, Paper Hospitality, and 3AM Media. Adegbe is passionate about social investment, technology, and history.

Solomon Maiwada YERO

Born Feb 23, 1954, Solomon is the Superintending Pastor of an Abuja based Church Planting Ministry, Harvest Christian Ministry international, which he founded in 2007. He is a Global Ambassador for The Timothy Initiative where he is involved in starting TTI work in new countries including training and equipping trainers of Church planters in Anglophone West Africa. Solomon has worked with First Bank (when it was Standard Bank), Kaduna State government(when it was North-Central State), and with a multinational company, Philips Medical Systems at management level before going into Christian ministry in 1995 where he served under a senior Pastor for nine years. He has been involved with affordable/ decent housing in Nigeria since 2003 and is currently on the Board of MFF Housing Ltd. He is also a board member of the Mariam Ladi Yunusa Foundation where he supports the strategic direction of the NGO’s annual programmes. Solomon studied Physics at St Mary’s College, Twickenham and obtained an MSc in Radiation Protection from the University of Surrey, Guildford, England in 1984. He holds an MA in Missions Studies from Nairobi International Institute of Theology, Kenya. He is an alumnus of Haggai Institute, Maui, Hawaii, USA.
He is married to Rebecca Yero and together they have two adult children and one granddaughter.

Ibrahim Tumba Yunusa 

Ibrahim Yunusa, MD/CEO of Ladisgold Projects, is a dynamic leader with a BSc in Architecture, MSc in Construction Management, and ICIOB accreditation. Beyond his corporate success, he champions charity and corporate social responsibility through Ladisgold, distributing food to those in need. As Director of the Mariam Ladi Yunusa Foundation, he spearheads efforts to advance humanitarian causes and sustainable development, embodying a commitment to positive change and community welfare.

Juliet Tsoyo
Acting Programme Director​

Juliet Tsoyo graduated from the Federal University of Technology Yola. Over the years, she has committed her life to helping vulnerable girls in the Northeast. She worked as a pharmaceutical sales executive and leadership coach at Miraflash Pharmaceutical Nigerian Ltd. She currently serves as the counsellor for MLY Foundation.

Popoola Olusegun, a graduate of the University of Ibadan is the Program officer for MLY Foundation. He joined after years of serving humanity as an English teacher in various schools in Nigeria. He worked briefly as a Data Analyst at United for Development and administrative officer with Youth Economic and Entrepreneurship Initiative.

Joshua Gamaraja
Programme Manager

Joshua Gamaraja is a graduate of Agricultural Economics from the University of Maiduguri. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education. He worked with the West African cotton company limited as a marketing officer and a part-time staff with the UNDP as an agricultural extension officer. He is currently the Outreach Manager Yola, for MLY Foundation.

Abdulazeez Usman
Programme officer​

Abdulaziz Usman, a graduate of Business Administration and Management is the CEO of Bluecyberx Computers. His experience in the field as an Outreach Officer in Yola for MLY Foundation is a blessing to humanity.

Emmanuel Agumdia
Outreach manager​​

Emmanuel Agumdiya is the Senior Outreach Manager for MLY Foundation. A former Civil servant at the Federal Road Safety Commission with robust years of experience in philanthropy and field work.

Emmanuel Ijai
community officer

Emmanuel is experienced in humanitarian and community-focused roles. He has worked as a Protection Worker at DRC. As a member of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, he’s an active member who have participated in several community initiatives. He currently serve as an Outreach officer with MLY Foundation.
